Bubble Alumina is produced from high purity Bayer process Alumina in electric arc furnace. After melted, the alumina is atomized with compressed air, which produces hollow spheres. Because of the hollow spheres, Bubble Alumina has chemical inertness, very low bulk density and very low thermal conductivity. It also has high hardness, high melting point, high wear-resistance and superior insulating properties.
